As I rounded the bend to the hot spring an entire As I rounded the bend to the hot spring an entire hillside revealed itself blanketed in wildflowers. I made a small arrangement for my bike, though these things don't last very long on a rough a tumble vehicle. 😜

The creek water was crystal clear, probably because it's too hot for anything to live in it. There were butterflies in droves though, all different colors and sizes. Lovely view from the ride up, the air alternated between sulfuric steam and spring blooms.

We were 4 minutes too late for sunrise at The Wind We were 4 minutes too late for sunrise at The Windows but no regrets on our timing for Mesa Arch in Canyonlands NP. What a jaw-dropping way to start the day.

Riding with friends was a welcome change of pace after the solitude of the desert.
