5/25 – Splash Zone

I got bored on Rt-67, and took some side roads. I should have guessed that after the pavement ended and a couple “Road impassable during high water” signs appeared, I’d have to turn around. Of course, this meant backtracking over the two smaller water crossings I’d already splashed through.

I arrived at the home of scooterists Myke and Brittany, where they set me up in a vacant apartment (indoor camping!). We had a walking tour of the neighborhood, a scooter tour, and then Myke fixed an excellent dinner from local farmers market goodies. I feel lucky to know such awesome, kind people.
