7/19 – Meet Bernadette!

90 miles.

It was difficult to depart the comfort of Horseheads, NY. Living on your bike means rarely having a place to truly retreat, and I feel lucky that I could rest at Tim’s parent’s for an extra night.

But I’m excited because today begins the find march on Lubec, ME! There was a veritable party waiting for me at Ithaca Scooter & Cycle. I stopped long enough to have a beer and nerd out about scoots with the owner, Anthony. What an awesome shop! Eventually, Bernadette and Jim and I had to roll out, via a few waterfalls, to Binghamton, NY. A delicious spiedie dinner with Bernadette’s house red wine was waiting!
